After working in the New York indie scene, Alana honed her craft in Montreal's film industry as a location manager and scout on high-profile productions, collaborating with directors including Steven Spielberg, Denys Arcand, Frank Oz, Todd Haynes, and François Girard. She then moved onto her passion: writing and directing.Alana's exhilarated by the energy of collaboration and drawn to stories filled with invention, wonder, and a healthy dose of the absurd.Her work has been funded by Bravofact, SODEC, Canada Council for the Arts, and Conseil des Arts et des Lettres du Québec. Most recently, her project Gertie's Gotta Go was selected for the New Directors, New Films Pitching Forum in Portugal.
